Beginning in Rome, the Eternal City, travel to Mont Sant’Angelo, San Giovanni Rotondo, Loreto, Assisi, Lourdes, Bordeaux, Lisieux, and finally, Paris, visiting the beautiful churches and shrines of Italy & France.

 

 

        

 

 

Daily itinerary

Oct. 13 – Today, depart from the United States on a flight to Rome, Italy.

Oct. 14 –Welcome to Eternal Rome, the city on seven hills! Transfer to our hotel in the historic quarter of Rome (2 nights). Late afternoon walking tour to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona (Bernini’s iconic fountains), and Santa Maria sopra Minerva (tomb of St. Catherine of Siena).

Oct. 15 –Morning visit to one of the most sacred sites of our holy Faith— St. Peter’s Basilica, built over the martyrdom site of Peter the Apostle, first Bishop of Rome. Have the opportunity to attend a Papal Audience.  Afternoon tour of St. John Lateran (the original Vatican), built by Emperor Constantine, whose 4th-century conversion ended two hundred years of Christian persecution and the Scala Santa (Holy Stairs).

Oct. 16 – Morning walking tour to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona (Bernini’s iconic fountains), and Santa Maria sopra Minerva (tomb of St. Catherine of Siena). This afternoon, pass by Circus Maximus (site of early Christian martyrdoms) and the Roman Colosseum before exiting through the 3rd-century Aurelian Walls encircling the ancient city. Stop at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, built over the tomb of the great apostle. Enter through the Holy Door and receive the 2025 Jubilee indulgence. Late afternoon departure for the hill town of Assisi in Perugia, the heart of the Franciscan order! Early evening arrival and check into our hotel for the next two nights.

Oct. 17, 2025 – A day in Assisi! Walk along the medieval cobblestone streets beginning at Santa Chiara (see the tomb of St. Clare and the cross  from which St. Francis heard Our Lord imploring him to rebuild His Church) and ending at the Basilica of San Francesco where St. Francis is buried in the crypt.

Oct. 18, 2025 – Morning check-out and departure for Loreto. On the way out of Assisi, visit Santa Maria Degli Angeli Basilica built over the Transito room where St. Francis died. See the Portiuncula (the stone chapel he restored, which became the first Franciscan dwelling). Late afternoon arrival in Loreto overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Tradition holds that angels transported the House of Mary of Nazareth to this spot. early evening check-in at our hotel in Loreto.

Oct. 19, 2025  – Morning at the Holy House of Mary. Early afternoon departure for San Giovanni Rotondo on the Gargano Promontory of the Adriatic Sea, where the Capuchin stigmatist,   St. Padre Pio, lived for 50 years until he died in 1968. En-route stop in Lanciano at the church where an  8th-century Eucharistic miracle took place—evening arrival at our hotel in San Giovanni Rotondo for two nights.

Oct. 20, 2025 – Morning footsteps  of St. Padre Pio tour! Visit Santa  Maria Della Grazie Church (where he offered daily Mass and heard confessions) and the new church (site of his final resting place). Afternoon excursion to Monte Sant’Angelo; site of three 5th-century angelic apparitions.

Oct. 21, 2025  – Late morning departure for Naples to board a late afternoon non-stop Volotea Airlines flight to Lourdes in the French Pyrenees. Check-in to our hotel in Lourdes (2 nights).

Oct. 22, 2025 – A day in the village of St. Bernadette! Walk along the Massabiele River that Bernadette was crossing when she first saw Mary. Take part in the Water Gesture to experience the healing waters flowing since the apparitions. Visit Boly Mill (her birthplace) and Cachot (her family home). Evening Rosary and candlelight procession at the shrine.

Oct. 23, 2025 – Morning train departure for Bordeaux set on the banks of the River Garonne. Seven centuries ago, St. Simon Stock, the recipient of the scapular promise from Our Lady, died here while on a routine visitation to the Carmel. Visit St. Andrew’s Cathedral, where his body rests. Continue by TGV train to Paris! Late afternoon arrival in Paris. Check-in at our Paris city center hotel for three nights.

Oct. 24, 2025 – A train excursion to Lisieux, the town of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, the Little Flower. Walk in her footsteps to Les Buison-ettes (her family home), St. Peter’s (parish church), the Carmel she entered in 1888 (see her tomb and those of her saintly parents), and the grand basilica named for her.

Oct. 25, 2025 – A day in Paris, one of the worlds most beautiful cities! Visit Sacre Coeur on Montmartre (where Perpetual Adoration has occurred since 1914) – Rue du Bac (where, in 1830, St. Catherine Lab-oure was visited by the Blessed Virgin and asked to promulgate the Miraculous Medal) – Notre Dame!

Oct. 26, 2025 – Morning transfer  to the Paris CGD Airport for our flight to the United States.

JUBILEE ANNIVERSARY

Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT: A $500.00 deposit is required to hold a reservation. The tour cost is based on payment by personal check or bank transfer. There is a 3.5% surcharge for credit card use.                                                                                         

CANCELLATION POLICY:If a written cancellation notice is received beyond 90 days before departure, a full refund less $500 applies. If a notice is received within 90 days of departure, $500.00  plus any funds retained by the airline, hotels, and bus companies are non-refundable.                      

ITINERARIES: Daily itineraries are prepared in advance and are subject to change.               

BAGGAGE: Only carry-on baggage is included in the trip cost. According to the individual tour,  the cost of a suitcase (maximum of 50 pounds)  to check on the plane may or may not be included.

DOCUMENTATION: All passengers must have a government-issued valid passport (with up to six months left from the trip return date). Check with the US State Department for the latest health requirements as they are subject to change.     

SINGLE OCCUPANCY: Tour costs are based on double-room occupancy. Accommodation in a single room is available at a surcharge.       

TRAVELERS INSURANCE IS RECOMMENDED: St. Olav Enterprises, LLC (DBA Sacred Heart Tours) is not responsible for loss or damage to property due to handling and/or accidents.

MEALS:The meals during the tour are mostly  pre-arranged. We will do what we can to assist special requests on a case-by-case basis.                                                                

AIR CARRIER RESPONSIBILITY:The airlines cannot be held responsible for any act, omission, or event when passengers are not on board the plane. The airlines, as international carriers, are subject to international conventions limiting their liability; the limitations of liability contained on the passenger’s airline ticket shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the passenger under the conditions stated on the ticket. The airlines are not responsible for any negligent acts and/or omissions of independent contractors,  their employees, agents, or representatives. Tour participants fly jet service in economy class.                                

RESPONSIBILITY: Sacred Heart Tours acts only as an agent for the airlines, hotels, and bus companies or owners or contractors providing accommodations, transportation, or other services, and all Coupons, Exchange Orders Receipts, Tickets & Contracts issued by the company  are issued subject to any and all tariffs and terms & conditions under which any accommodations, transportation, or any other services whatsoever are provided by such airlines, hotels or bus companies or owners or contractors, and by the acceptance of such coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets, the tour member agrees to the following and also agrees that neither Sacred Heart Tours nor any of its affiliates or subsidiary companies shall be or be-come liable or responsible for any loss, injury or damage to any property, person or otherwise in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting, directly or indirectly, from acts of God, dangers incident to the sea, fire, machinery or equipment failure, acts of governments, or other authorities, dejure or de facto, wars (declared or undeclared), hostilities, civil disturbances, riots, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs  regulations, cancellations or delays, of or changes in itinerary or schedule, or from any causes beyond the control of Sacred Heart Tours, or for any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient documents, and that neither Sacred Heart Tours nor any of its affiliated companies shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expense or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of any of the foregoing causes. If illness or other imperative reason compels a member to withdraw after a tour begins, there would be little or no refund as most all of the services are prepaid. There is no refund for the absence of any sightseeing or meals. Sacred Heart Tours reserves the right to require any individual to withdraw from a tour if their conduct is deemed detrimental to or incompatible with the tour’s interest, harmony, comfort, and welfare. The airlines, bus companies, or any transportation company whose service is employed on the tour will not be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during which passengers are not on board their conveyance. When issued, the passage contract in use by these companies shall constitute the sole contract between the companies and the tour purchaser.
